This blog is dedicated to the exploration of headwear-related needs of women experiencing chemotherapy-induced hair loss. A part of my master's thesis project, the blog has been created to help me gain knowledge about the needs, preferences and suggestions related to headwear from women experiencing hair loss due to chemotherapy. Your comments on this blog will be greatly appreciated and might be used in my research. No personally identifying information will be mentioned. The insight gained will be used to develop headwear that will better address women's needs and help improve their quality of life. Thank you!

What qualities would you say a good headwear should offer to women experiencing chemotherapy-induced hair loss? Why?

    Good headwear has to be comfortable and attractive looking. It also has to keep my head warm, especially in the fall and winter.

    Soft and comfortable, real looking, fashionable, , easy to care for, and affordable (tip: my insurance company paid up to $40 for a wig with a prescription for a "cranial prothesis").

    Should be soft and not too tight. Also feel like it is not falling off. Should be attractive so you feel good about yourself. It's hard to feel good about your looks when you have no or not much hair.
